Immediately after my Listen to Your Mother performance in May, our amazing photographer, Casey Chapman Ross, gave me a little nudge and said, “just wait until you see the shot I got.”

It was this one. And it perfectly captured the essence of my LTYM Performance.

For months, people have been asking me, “what on earth was your story about, anyway?” based on this photo.

My answer:  Pretty much exactly what it looks like it’s about. But maybe a little worse.

I went to my daughter’s karate belt test right before the show. Both of us were working on remembering to slow down, so we took my friend Lisa’s (from Sassy Pie Hole) advice and made matching ‘tattoos’ to remind us to slowwww downnn.
