Our Bathroom Remodel – Episode 4: 50 Shades of Beige

FEBRUARY 12 – “50 SHADES OF BEIGE” –
Where S&M stand for Snowbound SW #7004 & Marshmallow SW #7001

We have progress! Most of the wall tile is up (until they ran out of wall tile, that is).

And there’s now some mysterious grey substance on the shower floor. I’m not sure what it is but I’m guessing that it’s the stuff that someone forgot to put in the shower the first time around that would have kept it from leaking all over our closet.

There is a slight chance that our contractor may just pack up and abandon our project after receiving texts from me like: “Is there any possible way that we could switch out two of the tiles? It feels like they’re staring at me.”

Now things are on hold until Tuesday as they wait for some more tile and for the cabinet builder. That means I’m on the line to pick out some paint colors. I have a long history of some very intensive paint color decisions (we’re talking a collection of a half dozen paint samples covering entire walls for weeks (okay months) before making a decision. Now I have two days to make a decision before I fly off to Idaho to visit my family for the weekend (don’t try to come rob my house, my husband will still be here.) Until then, if you need me, I’ll be in my bathroom staring at this.
